Reminiscence therapy using virtual reality technology affects cognitive function and subjective well-being in older adults with dementia

Reminiscence therapy is garnering attention for stimulating seniors’ cognitive functions. It could be inferred that synergistic effects created by combining virtual reality (VR), which can project realistic images, with recall, stimulates memory. We hypothesized projecting memories to stimulate VR-based reminiscence would function better than conventional photo-based therapy. randomly assigned total 52 people mild impairment eight weeks of using either tablet VR panoramas or still photos 26 participants in each group.
